Can we have some moderation please?

I know that in light of the recent server issues you have a lot on your hands as well as the fact that a lot of the moderation team seems to have moved to other shores. As anyone will have noticed, there are an ungodly amount of spam threads opening left right and centre. With these appearing on the main page I get the impression that potential new members may be put off. All I'm asking is that the moderation effort be upped slightly, if you're running low on manpower there are plenty of people who've been here a while who I'm sure would happily help but there's barely a day goes by that there isn't at least one non legit thread, hell today there was only 1 REAL thread. Please, if you can, do something about it.

Indeed, the threads are starting to stack up. In general gaming there's nothing but spam for the first page.

Hell yes, I was thinking about making a thread about this anyway.

Hey everyone. I apologize for the mess, and have been trying to keep up with it as best as I can over the past few months (you should see the permanent ban list). I know Jim pops in and does his share, too.

It's definitely an issue, and we're looking into new ways to prevent this sort of abuse, as we'd love to see these boards return to something resembling their former glory.

If anyone would be interested in lending a hand to the moderation cause, please don't hesitate to message me, and well see what we can do.

Actually, no, that would end horribly for everyone....

Damn spam... Don't quite understand how they keep getting in, I have reCaptcha setup, a security question, AND a RBL checker... either they are really smart or VB just fails.
