Question about running an e-commerce site

Well I was thinking of getting a site to sell things like t-shirts and such and go in on this with friends.

The question is, if the shirts/donations to the site were just a side thing and not the main focus, do I still have to file taxes for it?

I'm new to this kind of stuff.

IF your in America (mabey even Canada) and you make any money you owe the Government. Sad but true.

Depends on the place you sell the shirts out of. Say you were able to find a distributor in florida in certain places their taxes on clothing is 0. Thus you could be making more because you didn't have to accoutn for taxes. Thens theres shipping though.
