Uhm... if they were lying about anything like that, they probably wouldn't have any sponsors right now.... clearly not the case.

Looks like they got a pretty well established fan base with 600+ active forum viewers.

As a former moderator I can tell you that of the 700+guests, only about 35 of them were yahoo search engine/google bots (for those who don't know, these things scour webpages, indexing them in the search engine database based on keywords).

As for the radio... you can't compare them to anything because there's nothing else there, but I think we're better =D

Do NOT quote me on this.

Wow. Like. 600 or so REGULAR listners? That would mean they would be listning to the SAME content for a whole week, Then similar content the next week etc, over and over. :P

Especially considering that this forum has been up for less than a year.

GameSHOUT and it's various incarnations were around for... 6 years? Correct me if I'm wrong.

yea their "Forums" Have been around for years. It used to be Half-life source....until they drug it over to gameshout's to look like they had a bigger fan base. Shortly after that they bite the hand that feeds by "Attempting" to sue Valve....for a bs claim.

Mistake after mistake....Their biggest one was to insult GamerNode over and over again hehe.

600 listeners isnt that much, me and feyd when we worked for Planetside radio had about 200+ listener fanbase ( thats what the servers would hold lol) and we had a top ten music list blah blah blah same bull**** over and over they will come back. you just need the talent. only new stuff brings in new listeners.

Gameshout is pretty high up on lists for Google.com...

... in addition, there's years worth of forum content, reviews, previews, and other stuff. Most of their hits come from google... the number of people acutally LISTENING to the show, or acutally signing up on the forums is slim.

A friend of mine acutally found one of my posts when he was lookin for info on a 9800pro =S he really didn't care about Gameshout (then HLS) or any crap like that....

...google is a powerful thing. Maybe GS should start paying royalties to them =D

i don't doubt that gameshout had its power trip, its just that when you lose what 2/3 of your media staff well yeah time to go sell out, if he was smart sell the marketing rights to IGN or something he could make a nice chunk of change their.

only to be 2nd rated by us ;)
