Sega announced that the "Gunstar Heroes Treasure Box" will be coming to U.S. stores sometime late in December for the PS2. "Gunstar Heroes" was previously released for the Sega Genesis. The old-school platform game received high praise for innovative level design and action, action, action. The Treasure Box edition of this series will feature three titles: "Gunstar Heroes," "Alien Soldier," and "Dynamite Headdy."
"Gunstar Heroes Treasure Box" is one of a series of old-school games that have been released in recent years for sixth generation game consoles. Game publishers such as Atari, Namco, Sega, Midway and others have found that titles from yesteryear are, indeed, not only popular among gamers, but can bring in profits as well. The graphics of old school games may not hold up to present day standards, but there are no arguments about the fun-factor in playing or replaying these games. Pac-man, anyone?
