Real? Fake? Who knows. What's your opinion?

That's just a picture of Halo 2 on Bungie's 'uber' engine. They have a realy good version of Halo 2 that only they have access to. It has very good models, bullets leave dents in MC, and it's realy advanced. It dosn't work on the XBox, their 'uber' engine only works on their 'uber' PC.

What's this "uber" PC you speak of?

Not much, just a computer with the highest possible equipment. Bungie likes secrets if you've noticed... It just has alot of RAM, awsome processor, awsome un-released custom graphics card, and to top it all of, a copy of the 'uber' Halo 2 engine. After making loads of cash, cash, and more sweet cash, why not?
Man... I wish I had that PC...

that image you posted... it's concept art. Not an actual image of the game.

If its real or just concept stuff you know thats what the new stuff will look like. Halo2 pushed the xbox to its limits....cant wait to see halo3.

I've heard of this "uber" (that word has been so played out in this thread already, lol) verison of the Halo engine. Basically Bungie created the engine, but had to tone down many aspects of it to get the game(Halo 2) to run smoothly on the XBOX. However the engine is capable of many, many more advanced features, and obviously these things eat up processing power and memory like there's no tomorrow.

It will be interesting to see how much the XBOX360 can handle, and what the next Halo looks like. That desktop render MAY be a concept art render, however I do believe certain Bungie employees referred to those shots as "real-time renders", meaning they were rendered using the game's graphics engine. So...shrug, who knows, its a rumor, and we'll have to wait until later this year or next year to find out for sure.

I'm not so much hinting at the picture, just the fact it's already being covered.

Now I remeber where I saw that before! That was ripped right from a Halo 2 promo render. Although they mirrored is so that the MC is facing the oposite way, it's right here: (in the form of a neat wallpaper :P) http://www.myxbox.at/home/stuff/wallpaper/halo2_wp_1280x1024.jpg
I was tired when I wrote my first post. This is just a promo render for Halo 2... nothing more... nothing less... although the 'uber' engine does exsist.
