Reports are saying that the Sixers have reached a deal with Denver, sending AI to Denver. That means that when Melo gets back from his suspension, they'll have the top 2 scorers in the NBA. Clash of interests, or will it work out?
I really wish AI would have found a way to get to the TWolves, or at the least Charlotte. Oh well, at least this is better than the Lakers or Mavs.

CRAP.
It's a bad move. We're just establishing a great team chemistry and we don't need another superstar player to come in and fork it all up. I believe Melo and Iverson will clash badly, and Iverson won't accept that Melo is the only guy we need to lead the team.
Then again, if Karl had any say in the matter, and he thinks it's a good idea, it just might be. I trust his intuition when it comes to players.
However, if this is a decision that is being made solely by our new owner, I fear what could happen.
This is almost worse than the Broncos almost picking up Owens.....

Well he'll be a good replacement until Anthony comes back. Then we gets back, look out! Could be a repeat of Shaq and Kobe.

The thing that worries me for the Nuggets is sending Miller away. He's THE assist man on the Nuggets, and replacing him with a scorer seems bad.

Boo! I was hoping the T'Wolves would snag him, even if it took giving away half our team.

Yeah, I wasn't aware of that until I watched the news tonight. I literally jumped up and screamed "WHAT?!" at my TV. Miller, even though he is inconsistent with scoring, is an invaluable defensive player, and king of the assist like you said. Not only that, he's not a fouler, and you can count on him to be playing. That is the biggest loss out of the deal for sure.
I would have been more than happy to see AI go to the Wolves. Even if I despise them.

It's a close game, and Iverson is putting the points on the board.
That's about all we can ask for.
But how about my boy Boykins? He's lighting up that scoreboard tonight!:D
edit- well, we didn't win, but AI did his job by putting a decent amount of points on the board, along with my boy Boykins as the top scorer. Too bad JR and Melo are out. We would have had that game by a large margin with them on the court.
This is going to be hard fought season for a while without two of our top players...

Well, I'm just glad Iverson was finally traded so I didn't need to have him taking up room on my fantasy team.
Personally, I had really, really wanted to see him get sent to Minnesota. Kevin Garnett is such a phenomenal talent, and I think it would be an absolute shame if we see him play through his career without ever getting much of a chance at winning a championship. Especially when you consider that he isn't the type that needs the ball to play well, it could have been a nice fit.
As for going to the Nuggets... I don't see this winning them a championship. Sure, you have two phenomenal scorers now, but by the same token as bringing in a ton of talent didn't yield a championship (I'm looking at you, you 4 Hall of Famer-wielding Lakers squad) in other situations, I don't see it happening here--especially when their strong points (in this case, scoring) clash with one another. I think this will definitely help them to win the division and will mold them into that sort of team the Mavs were a few years ago, where they dominate the regular season but just can't get it done in the playoffs.

Seeing Iverson's play in his new team is making me revise my opinion. I had worried he was going to be a ball-hog and more detrimental to my team than a help.
However, given that his top stats in almost every game since the switch have been Points and Assists (with a double-double in his first game), he's setting himself up to be an excellent go-to player for both the points AND the offensive movement.
The Nuggets could be a very interesting team when Melo gets back on the scene. I can only hope that we see some great chemistry between these two. If they click, the interaction between the two could make for some very exciting plays indeed.
