It's hard to escape the mass amount of TV ads showing off the new Apple Nano. The Apple Nano holds 1,000 songs and is smaller than half the size of other players. Tiny is a better word to describe the Nano.

The iPod Nano sports a slick color screen, click wheel, and can hold approximately 25,000 photos. There are two versions of the Nano, the 4GB version, which will cost you around $249.99, and the 2GB version, which is priced at only $199.99.

The new iPod Nano launched with accessories that enhance your listening experience. New Lanyard Headphones are designed to remove the tangle of wires, making them ideal for use during jogging. "Tubes" are also available, acting as customizable covers for the iPod Nano, fitting around it like a glove and granting easy access to the click wheel. The tubes will be available in pink, purple, blue, green, and clear. There's also an armband that the Nano fits snugly into, making it even easiar to listen to as much as 3 days worth of music. The armband will be available in grey, pink, blue, red, and green.

The iPod Nano will work on both the Mac and Windows, although it will require a usb port and iTunes version 4.9 or later.

Quite an interesting idea, It has quite enough space and has a much better size. I think it should soar in sales.

I saw my friend's iPod Nano, and I'm not going to buy one. (Plus I already have a mini)
I think if I put it in my pocket and sat down it would get snapped. It would probably shatter if you dropped it too. It felt like it would shatter in my hand as I held it! It's soo small and skinny! Makes me paranoid to touch one. Don't want to break a tiny $200 device. I woud be in debt.

iPod's aren't all that great. They've got a sleek look, and great storage capacity for their size, but sound quality is awful and iTunes is a pain!! The success of the iPod can be linked to one thing: Marketing.

By the way, in case you don't know, the manufacturing cost for iPod's are less than half the cost of the retail product. Don't belive me? Check Apple's financial statements. They really know how to gouge you... the Nano uses a cheap, often defective out of the box LCD screen, and it's just assembed really poorly. The thing could break easily, like FoxFire said.

Personally, I prefer a flash memory MP3 player over an HD one (of course there's that iPod shuffle, which is also built poorly and has pretty poor audio quality) but even then I would not get an iPod. If sound quality/storage is your thing, I'd have to recommend a Creative MP3 player. Rio or Sony if you want something sleek looking, or lightweight.

I used to have an Ipod, but it was too big, and they're easy to break. Eventually, I did the inevitable and dropped it. I decided to get a Sony MP3 player then.
