It is becoming quite apparent that on a forum (all forums, not just GN forums), members really do act their age. On TBF2 there was an age thread and most of the ages stated were mirrored to their either mature or immature posts.....

After living with a friend studying psychology for three years it was interesting to learn the link of ages and brainwave maturity. There are rarely those of a young age who are as mature as they think they are, and there are there are a high percentage of mature people who don't think they're mature (lost yet?)

So, how old are ya's?

keep posting your ages guys and gals, it is definately proving very interesting indeed....see i find that human nature is very interesting, like the way we act, the way we re-act in defense or attack, how people's confidence can come out on a forum where there is no interpersonal attachment....very interesting! Funny how in BF2 for a simple TK you will be flamed endlessly, where as in real life, they'd keep their mouths shut to avoid my uppercut!

Okay. So the last part I lied about. But they wouldn't do what they do online. Or as you pointed out, in the forums.

That's right.

Prime example was a BF2 player here in an Australian server who kept TKing me, and i asked his age and to grow up.....when he replied that i was obviously from Adelaide i asked how......long story short, he ended up living not far from me, so when he found out he disappeared off the game! So funny cause the game almost came to a halt as everyone was reading our conversation and when he disconnected there were about thirty different "PWNED"'s being put on screen.

This is however, only one of millions of stories that could be told. I find forums show age/maturity so much better.....

and about the tk flaming. Thats what we call having a case of large "e-balls". Its an epidemic sweeping the online community. Give someone a keyboard, monitor, and darkroom away from their parents and they become tough, macho men.

So what is your conclusion about this age thing D3T?

Well, it is proving many things, like E6's "e-balls" theory, how some of the younger people react so quick and narky to certain conversations, how we are also graced by a few younger people who are quite obviously maturing faster than others and that most of the older people are who they thought they were. In all honesty there have been a few suprises and a few expected answers.
