Call of Duty: Finest Hour was developed by Spark Unlimited for console systems in a deal with Activision which was supposed to be for a minimum three-title agreement on the game.

Now Spark Unlimited is putting up a US$10 million lawsuit against Activision for its breach of contract and stealing franchise ideas, among numerous other things.

After releasing CoD:Finest Hour, Spark has accused Activision for trying to discourage them from the second title by forcing them to accept lower royalties for the second game.

Grey Matter and Spider-Man 2 developer Treyarch were brought in to replace Spark for the console sequel, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One.

What? They're trying to stop Infinity Ward from making the games? Stuff them, Finest Hour sucked, I'm backing Activision all the way.

CoD: Finest Hour... it was acutally a pretty good game for a console shooter, just it suffered from some poorly thought out ideas....

Making a game ultra hard is fine and dandy, but in return gamers should be able to save anywhere they want, or they should have checkpoints. the lack of that feature to save between maps, levels, or whatever u want to call them really hurt the game.

Next was the lack of split-screen multiplayer. Come on.... it's a console shooter!! The game's graphics were kinda.... well... blah... how else do I describe it? Everything looked really DULL!

It's certainly not a bad game.... and for anyone without a PC that likes World War 2 shooters, CoD: Finest Hour is still one of the more entertaining ones you can pick up... although if you're looking for one with a form of offline multiplayer, and some more polish, MoH: European Assault is probably the game you'd want to get =P

Finest Hour was one of the worst games ever made for the Consoles that should not have the Call of Duty name in it
