Like the title says. Whats the one thing you love and/or Hate about GamerNode? I want to know what we are doing right so far and what needs some serious work.

I love the new layout, although still a bit buggy but understand there is a settle period.

I love how things are moving forwards in leaps and bounds and a big Props out to the design team and all the GN crew working their butts off.

I love it all guys. Seriously. The entire site is packed full with information! With a few fixes (the headlines ) I can easily see this going to the top! I also understand that there will be a radio show for Gamernode? COOL! :D

I like the GamerNode staff but I hate the amount of sub-subforums there are. Stretches thread numbers wayy too thin.

I love the interactivity of the site, and the fact that I'm a part of it.

I hate how most of the news is about fps's or rts's, and not about good old adventure games, which should definitely get a look in.

I love the overall theme and idea we have for the site. The whole thing about all of us being a community, working together to achieve relations between staff and users that reflects almost on friendship. Not being those 'I am better than you' superior opinions.

I love the direction the site is heading in right now. We finally have a nice template we're going to stick with, and I have LOTS of ideas for what we can add to the new site to make it better.

I hate John. Our manager never does anything other than whine whine and complain complain. He is an annoying guy, and can't stop bragging about how much power he's got. Hehe, joking.

The only thing I can even call close to hating is the fact that I have to pull all-nighters to write a few thousand lines of code. Nothing like starting at 6000 lines of code for 19 hours, =D

Hmmm, I do have a question though, is this strictly gaming news and community rather than like a database of games as well (user ratings, info, news, cheats, etc.), or are you slowly working towards that as well? (I know this community is new, just curious about the future)

My one complaint is that people need to get IRC, I feel alone in that channel.. lol :P (It's kinda bothersome [I'm lazy :hihi: ] to switch back and forth on TS channels because I have a clan one I goto as well)

All of the above. Just takes time. One thing at a time. Biggest goal right now is to give you all a enjoyable talk show that will have reviews and news.

Hecks no... Teddy Bears are low maintenance, they don't require donuts, and they stay up and alert 24/7. Nobody would get past them, especially when armed with a motion sensor powered by Energizer.

One of the additions I'm working on right now is the addition of a 'Games' mySQL database. This will contain game names, and basic information (Publisher, ESRB rating, Release Date, etc.). We will then be able to attach news items, reviews, and the such to a game. You can then search by game and list games alphabetically. News items and Reviews will also have 'See more about this game'.

What is the Gamernode irc channel?What server?

The forum skin is not permenant. The forum will be closed later today so we can organize it up, as well as switch skins to one that matches our site (Goodjob Bu11et!).

As for IRC, we're #GamerNode on irc.GameSurge.net. The channel is mostly empty most of the time (I only come on if there's a need, since it increases process usage even MORE when gaming or scripting/testing. It's quite popular around a radio show though, as it's the best way to submit questions to be asked.

To be honest GN doesn't really appeal to me. I like the new skin but aside from that I'm going to reserve judgement till I see the rest of the site up.

May seem a bit harsh but my only real reason for posting in the GN section is because it merged with the BM off topic forum. The only time I flipped through your articles I got links to IGN and Gamespy, which made me question the point of having the site: If I want to go to gamespy or IGN I'll go there. I think you should ditch the PS2 section. Your a new site (afaics), we have a new console gen, go with that.
