After losing to Greece today, the best they can do is bronze. That means for the Olympics, they'll once again have to qualify. Now, the question is: will the players learn from this and work harder towards the Olympics? Or will we just keep losing to countries who play team ball?

I saw part of the 3rd Quarter and WOW!

USA is so cocky and a 1v1 type team. Greece totally destroyed them with the simple Top of the Key, Pick and Roll. They scored on it 19 out of 20 times while I was watching. I think the US team needs to get it together and show how good they really can be, and also show why they make Millions upon Millions each year.
(Which is totally crazy)

Like I said before, they really should just take whatever the best team is in the NBA that doesn't rely on a lot of foreign players, and send it to the Olympics that year. I'd much rather have a team like the Heat play for us than a team put together of guys who have never played more than a handful of games together.

Or even go back to how it used to be and use college players. They'll play like a team and do what the coach asks.

And they didn't have Kobe again--I don't think it's a coincidence. ;)

But really, I just don't know what the USA is doing. They still just take the best players in the league and throw them out there, and they probably feel like they're playing in an All-Star game.

At least we could send the Knicks, then we would have an excuse for losing and it woud let me see my team play a few more games. God knows they won't play any games in the postseason, so give'm to me now.

If anyone else has been watching it, Coach K has made some really strange choices. I mean, how could you NOT use Brand, Bosh, and Miller more than 7 or 8 minutes a game? The best big men we have, and they go and play small ball against the other countries.

He's trying to outsmart the others, and it's just not going to work. Put Brand in there and let him bash the opposition around. How many players out there could really defend him in the post without help?

Give us video games in the Olympics! We'll teach everyone a lesson! :P

Video games in the Olympics would mean we'd be competing against Korea and Japan...so we'd probably end up in third. Just like in basketball!
