Its a good game. I like to compare it to Counter Strike. Its hugely popular because its so easy to play and anybody can get good at it. In my opinion the graphics weren't phenomenal, and the gameplay was unique in some areas, but pulled a lot from other games as well. I play it with friends who are PC illiterate. But play it fora few hours on xbox LIVE and you'll see why these gamers don't own PC's.

Yeah. Multi-player was really the only thing good about Halo 2. Now why the heck should great multi-player make Halo 2 the best game of the year!?!?!
I mean, its online was good but the formula got boring after a while.
And you can't even play a game with dual wielding in it now without it being called a "Halo clone." But why?
You could Dual wield in Goldeneye on the N64. You could dual wield in Perfect Dark on N64. Just a few games allowing it before halo 2. I could go on.
Oh well. Gphoria isn't that great anyways. I'll just place it next to Spikes joke of a video game award show too.

Halo 2 is moderately fun, and as Eclipse said, its very easy to pick up and play. But in all other aspects, its mediocre to me.
Also some of those are undeserving... there are many better titles out there.
But there are also some games that got the recognition they deserved, like Katamari Damacy, which, if you havent played it, is one of the funniest and most fun games I've played to date. They even have Katamari Damacy 2 coming out soon, or it might already be out, not sure.

"We love Katamari" I believe is what the sequel is named.

Yeah. It was the only FPS title on the consoles though that didn't make me wish I had my mouse. I'll give it that much.

halo 2 sucked imo, yes they did break inovating graphics with all bump mapping but ever notice if you run an older xbox that the bump mapping doesnt always load fast enough and you get flat spots in the game cinematics? quite honestly I havent finished the game, nor i had the desire to. it wasnt the type of game that kept me in my seat like halo 1. IMO halo 1 was ALOT better. nothing was more fun than driving the warthog * puma, cupacabra, whatever* in a time limit and then trying to run to the ship in a certain time limit. that kept me in my seat
