First Sig competition

It's time for me to update my sigs. I need two new sigs, one for this site and one for www.bf2.org. Creator has full discretion on what and how they want to create the sig. For all of you that enjoy making sigs and want to compete against each other to see who makes the best sigs.

Sig needs the following information incorporated....
Playername = Hostage67
Clan = =DPK=

Everything else is up to the discretion of the creator. The only other restriction is that it needs to be an appropriate sig(no nudity).

Anyone who wants to put together a sig for me I would appreciate it. I will pick the two sigs I like the best and use them for the two sites. I'll leave this open until Feb 25th. I will go through and rate each sig on a scale of 1-10 for each category(originality, creativity, theme)

I really like that sig, the only change I would make to it would be the font for my name. I like the font style and look but it's very difficult to read and I want people to be able to read it since that's my ingame name, xfire name etc...

Your of course welcome to make any changes to the sig up until the deadline(This coming friday). I'll give all sigs a final rating and score after they have all been submited.

You can make as many entries as you would like, please try to keep it reasonable, but I have no problems with the same person creating several diff sigs based on diff themes or concepts.

And so far all great sigs that have been submited. :)

Just a couple more days to go till the end of the competition then I'll be ranking the sigs submitted so if you're still working on this get them in soon.

Comments: I really liked the FBI theme you were going with there, it was a nice contempory style which I think fits this site very well. You got dinged a little bit on the information score because the name was a little hard to read but I really liked the text style I thought it fit very will with the sig concept and creation.

Comments: I love the theme, it's really a shame that I'm not a very good pilot. The color scheme and toned down appearance give it a more classic style look which fits very well with the pictures and text you used. I think the more classic type look also makes this a better fit for the bf2.org site which will be it's new home :). I'm sad that I can't live up to the sig more since my pilot skills are lacking a bit but I really love the sig, it fit very well with all of the criteria I set forth, the text fit well with the overall design and is legible which is important to me.

Comments: The overall colors I didn't care for too much on this one. I saw what you were trying to do with the theme, but mostly only because I have played that game myself. The pictures were really hard to tell what was going on, I think this was mostly because of the coloring and the lines running across the screen which slightly distorted the pictures. Not being able to really tell what was going on was what really hurt you in this one, if you had been able to clean those pictures up a bit this could have been the best sig, it was very orignal and creative and fit very well with my name which I would have loved but it was just too hard to tell what was going on in the pictures which hurt your score quite a bit. I also liked that the layout was different than most sigs out there, that kind of cutscreen or slide effect is not often used in sigs which would have made it very original in design for a sig.




All and all I am very pleased with all of the sigs that were submitted. TheNerd was the winner of this round with the chopper sig, followed up by Jester, then TheNerd again. Both of you guys make top notch sigs and I hope my ratings and comments were constructive and may help you make even better sigs in the future :).

Now it's time for me to go update all my sigs :). Sorry I was a couple days late in scoring all the sigs, we had some crazy stuff at work and I wanted to be sure to give a good and constructive rating on the sigs. I figured if you guys are willing to put in the effort to create some nice sigs for me then the least I could do was to spend some time judging them and giving some constructive feedback on what I did and did not like on the sigs and why I scored them the way I did.
