Real Coke, Diet Pepsi. Except in the Southern States, for some reason between Virginia and Northern Florida Coke tastes like crap. I think it's some kind of Southern conspiracy!

The only difference in the ingrediants list which could account for this difference is that coke lists natural flavours ahead of caffiene whilst pepsi lists natural AND ARTIFICIAL flavours after it. Since both have identical caffiene content (at least in Canada, where such things are strictly regulated) we can conclude that the differences lie in the flavouring agents.

The cola flavour comes from a tree-born nut called kola which is rich in both caffiene and sodium. Coke, given its purely natural flavouring, probably puts a lot more of the nut extract in their drink. Pepsi, on the other hand, uses less nut and instead adds chemicals which taste like kola.

From my personal taste-testing experience, the artificial flavours in pepsi give it a bitter chemical aftertaste, likely because single artificial flavouring molecules 'taste' much stronger than natural kola molecules. Should even a few remain on the palate after the drink is consumed, the aroma will remain. And thus I provide my justification for preferring coke to pepsi."

I however dont give a damn about health. Cola just tastes much better then pepsi, pepsi tastes like cola with water in it or something >_<
