Real Long Update Times!

Anyone notice when you first update css it takes forever? Is valve having a bad server day or is this something thats been going on for a while now?

Valve has a large amount of servers. You might have just been connected to a server undergoing alot of traffic at that time or it was a peak time on the Internet.

Happens because there are numerous updates that you didn't get while not having CSS. Its like instead of updates starting from the beginning trickling in one by one as the months past, they all come in at once. So those who wait longer to get the game will suffer from this problem more as more "unused" updates and patches pile up.
