battleground europe says it all, was wondering if anyone wanted to give this a news write up. Its going to be open beta on the 25th, so keep an eye out for this one.

Well, it's apprently tested for 10,000 players.....but don't just take my word for it. They would HAVE to have some serious fibres to handle it.....maybe they're running AMD's new dual core server chips......

but looking at the screenshots and the minimum pc requirements being 56k dial up, don't expect it to look great, bu t hey, sign up for the beta testing NOW!!

From the screenshots it looks to be BF1942 graphics, with some areas being superior. If the experience is worth it (Imagine battles with 100 people or more in the same area, if done right it could be intense), it might be worth getting.

How can a company even release something so... so... noobish? This is a horrendous game and I would not suggest it to even the most hardcore WWII fan. The graphics are terrible, worse than StarSiege, or Tribes 1, even. Movement is extremely awkward and slow. When you run around your arms bob up and down and cover at least half the screen, its extremely unnatural. The shooting and actual combat... is lacking. There are many choices on what you can do... like man a machine gun or fly a fighter plane, but its not any fun to do any of them.

This game has some serious flaws, and by now, I think it is far too late to fix them. Because in my opnion, to fix them would mean making a whole new game.

That was total crap, the learning curve is way too high for those crappy graphics, sure they had the right idea, but they did it all wrong, hopefully EA sees this and makes BF: online (mmo)
