So what do you think of him and his little 'situation'?
I beleive he is a great guy, who may or may not have use steroids (leaning toward may). But even if he did it is forgiveable.. I mean look at it this way...You are a superb athlete, one of the best out there naturally...But the next guy, slightly worse naturally is shooting up and stealing your show..And the guy next to him, the guy next to him, and so on... What is there for you to do?
The game is a business as much as a sport (if not more) and you are trying to sell yourself. You are being overshadowed by these 'un-naturals' and therefor losing value in your 'stock', or in other words being offered lesser contracts and oppurtunities because everyone else are better for the 'show'.
So he did what he had to do.. Just like in the business worlds people do shady things to advance, and somewhat because if they don't the next guy will.
Anyway I watched the short interview with him on ESPN yesterday, and I think he handled that poorly.. He sounded really depressed (and he has a right to be) but he acted silly...
when asked "Your not going to comment on the allegations" he says 'No'.."Why not?" 'Because I'm an adult and I don't have to say anything' Or something to that nature in a very snotty childish voice...
When asked, "You said last week your life is in shambles, according to the associated press" 'You beleive everything they say?' "So you didn't say that" 'You know what I did, and I also said my knee is bad, my back (or something) is bad, I'm going to jump off the empire state building, and commit suicide...they just say what they want to say'
He said that in the same snotty childish voice and in poor attitude...
I think that is why he is handling this completely wrong and almost coming out of this looking like a bad guy.
I still have Bonds crap around my room, but I sure don't like how he is acting lately.
