Well, it seems that developers Direct Action Games have decided that the world is not complete without yet another WWII game. Their take on the genre is a FPS called WWII Combat: The Road to Berlin. Direct Action Games are us using the Unreal engine, and are supposed to be going for realistic weapons.

I'm curious to see how this game will pan out. But, if they stick with fps, add realistic weapons, and have a decent multiplayer segment, I might be all over this one.

I'm a huge fan of games like Raven Shield, so this is probably going to be right up my alley.

I love the Rainbow Six series... its so much more exciting when its whoever gets shot first, dies. I played Black Thorn for freakin ever.

But, on the arcade side, CoD2 looks promising.

That sounds pretty good, but i played somegames by "Groove Games" they are like a branch off from the unreal company or somthing like that. They made a game called Combat Task force 121 and it was pretty lame. It was like a realistic shooter that was played like unreal. If it is any thing like that it will be disapointing. But who knows? it could be good. i am definatly going to check it out

As long as realistic doesn't turn it into Red Orchestra, there was plenty of realism there but man it took a lot to get into. Down to the fact that vehicles have to be fully crewed in order to operate. Apparently too much realism is not up my alley, I like to save that for my movies!

But as has been pointed out, you gotta check it out before you can have an opinion. Everyone thought Brothers In Arms was gonna be huge. The single player wasn't so bad but man, multiplayer wasn't worth it! Any game you have to have an even number of people to play AND no more than 4 is a pain to staff!

Cheers!

Rainbow Six is still my favorite game. I've played Rainbow Six 3: Ravenshield (PC, the console versions were dumb)competitively for almost two years straight now. The competition is almost gone and the cheaters are everywhere, but that doesn't null the fact that its one of the most exciting and fun games out there, in my opinion. Unfortunately its multiplayer difficulty (hit them first or die) isn't too popular in the broad worldwide scope, so UBI is scaling back the PC version of Lockdown (it may even be cancelled, they haven't released any info) and pushing the console versions where you can get hit multiple times and its arcadey as hell. Very sad really :-(
