View Full Version : The boards don't look very nice.

This may seem harsh, but they're not really very nice. The main forum looks nice, but once you click into one of them, and see the list of threads, it can be very nasty. It hurts the eyes a bit, and it's hard picking out threads you want to view.
Worse still, are the actual posts. They're not merged together very well. Anyway of improving them? Becuase to the newbie, it may put them off, with the shoddy presentation.

I must disagree, on the hard to find posts part.
Then again, I have never actually searched for posts before, I just hit 'new posts' at the top and read whatever is replied to.

I mean threads. It's hard to fins threads. I didn't mean as in using the search facility.

I must disagree I think these board look good. Check your refresh/hertz rate on your monitor that is probably what is hurting your eyes. However this could be a GN weekly poll option.

It's a little clustered, yes. Still, you can't possibly tell me you like any of those TB skins any better =P

I personally have no problem with the way the forum looks. If you could be more specific, or give us some suggestions, that would be most helpful, =)

If there is any improvement required, its in widening the display portion of a forum by about half an inch on each side.

Well guys Im happy to announce that we're already working on 3.0.....this time around it wont take NEARLY as long to finish because the hard part, the code, is already done. This new us will be much wider, have a LOT more to do, images, game pages, videos soon after launch. So hang tight....this update will rock your socks off.

The reply boxes for Firefox browser still needs to be fixed. There is still some coding to do.

Here is the problem, smilies, if we get rid of those smilies everything goes back into place, what I want to do is just have a little link on the right which will display a pop up with all the smilies fixing our reply box problem.

I also think the skin is quite unpleasant to the eyes...

Without giving out too much info, GamerNode is to be going through some major changes within the next two months. So everything you see now is temporary.

The reason for that is that it's designed for 800x600 res, which is the proper way to create a website as statistically, 0ver 58% of pc users still use 800 x 600 res.
If your res is higher, which it is, you'll get the blank edges. :)

Man........Back on AxisPlay on my dad's PC I complained b/c it was distorted since it was for a higher res, and now I have my own PC, and it's distorted because it's a lower res...
I'm the strikeout king!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to disagree with this question entirely but recently I think that they look like crap. I dont like the dark color background thing and some of the buttons changed while others stayed the same. I understand that it is in a transition stage but why not just go back to how it was a while ago. I personally liked it a lot better when I got here.

Without giving out too much information I'll say that in a few weeks GamerNode will be making a very large announcement. So what you see now is temporary.
