Someone asked about getting new fonts so I decided to do a whole tutorial. First you need to find a site that offers free font downloads.
Try HERE (http://www.1001freefonts.com/).
Step 1: Download a font file that you like(.TTF).
Step 2: Open the C:/Windows/FONTS folder
Step 3: Move the .TTF file into the Fonts folder
Step 4: A screen should pop up:

Step 5: Just to check open up the .TTF from the fonts folder. This screen should appear except all in your new font: http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/4329/fontscreen5yh.jpg
Step 6:Now open Word and your new font should be available

Hope that helps!

Yes they will as far as I know. I know I have done it before but I don't remember if it was in GIMP or PS.

Also note that running the 'fonts' command will open up the folder you need. This can be easily done by hitting WindowsKey + R, typing 'fonts', and hitting enter.
