View Full Version : MSN Messenger Questions: Errors, glitches, and other bogus junk

I have MSN Messenger 7.5, the latest program...i think. last i checked. anyways, a friend of mine can't see me on their userlist. she can see other online users on her list, but not me, and when she sends me messages, she gets the "user not available" message.

...however, i AM online. i see her on my list, I recieve all her messages, and my web cam works with her. not only that, sometimes my messages don't get to her, get scrambled, or something to that effect. can't tell, as conversation is so difficult between the two of us. :wacko:

has anyone dealt with problems like this before?

I suppose this topic could also be about other MSN messenger, so feel free to discuss your own problems with this faulty software if need be. will really like to know why this is happening to me. :(

I remember having that problem. Save a copy of your contact list, delete everyone and re-add the saved copy.

which us us should do this? Me or her? And would just deleting the contact and adding it back work the same way?

Use Trillian, that will fix all your problems.

trillian is the program that uses all messenger programs, right? if it isn't and it's just another program, that is not an option...maybe. the point is, we want to speak to each other through MSN messenger, and we can't, as she keeps thinking i'm offline. how is this ratified in trillian?

[edit]it would seem my friend isn't the only one being effected by my problem. others on my list are saying they can't see me either! :o

have since installed Trillion. Don't know if the same problem is being had or not. :(
