This thread is dedicated to the strange symptom that effects many teams in the NHL (It's Hockey for you less athletically classed) seem to suffer. Last year The Ottawa Senators and the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks have suffered throughout the beginning of the season, and the Senators have begun at a tremendous pace, only to go on a horrible slide of late. Last year the same was echoed by the Hurricanes of Carolina and the Edmonton Oilers. This is echoed year in and year out since the CBA. Before then as well. Is this good for the league, or are dynasties that create legendary teams like the Canadians or the Oilers of the past better? What exactly is causing this? All the teams mentioned in this post have much the same team the following year as before but perform to a greatly decreased efficiency. Is it the extra rest or lax training of the victor/self pity of the losing team?
Thoughts? Anyone here even know what I'm talking about?
