Everyone had a side back in the early-mid 90s. The time is now for people to take a stand and proudly proclaim what they liked more growing up!

Nintendo. My first console was a SNES and I fell in love with the Donkey Kong series. Although my opinion is pretty biased, as the only Sega game I played was Sonic on the Megadrive.

Nintendo. I got a Gameboy (with Tetris!) for a birthday, and a Donkey Kong Country/Super Mario World SNES bundle for Christmas. Though I was a fan of Alex Kidd for the Master System.

Ahh! I can't decide. Either the 64, or Sega Megadrive...
I'm going to have to go with Nintendo, since I played it much more than Sega's one.

I only owned a sega. The nintendo I played was at friends houses, and I don't remember them as well as the sega genesis games I had.
Sonic, Earthworm Jim, Echo, and some other one I forgot FTW!

Purely a sega and playstation fan at the time. Conkers bad fur day, Golden Eye and vigilante8 were the only games I really liked on the 64.

technically Nintendo... but that's only because as a kid I was never exposed to sega. to this day the only real sega game Ive played are the sonic games (which are flat out amazing!)
you also have to understand that my first video game system was the N64 which I got in december 1997, so I was just getting into video games when the whole sega nintendo feud was dying down.
and for the record, I'm the only 18 year old I know who never played SNES, I almost feel as though I was neglected as a child :P

SNES = win, you = fail
Nintendo for me growing up. I played some Genesis at a friend's house, but I played way more NES and SNES at home. Golden Axe and Sonic were the games that I would play at his house.

Nintendo! So many good memories with Mario and such, hehe maybe I didn't actually play that much NES because I was so small, but then I watched my bros who were real junkies to the SMB games hehehe! And Goldeneye and The World is Not Enough for N64! And who could forget Mario Kart 64! Funny thing is, we didn't have a SNES! And we missed out on a bunch of games like Zelda and Mario 64. That is, we didn't get those games ourselves.
But guess what really got me into gaming? Rayman 1 for the PC! I remember getting it on my 5th birthday, oh was it the best B-day present I ever had! Rayman rocked! And one day, a certain evening 24th of December, I opened a christmas present containing Rayman 2... It was magical. I didn't really get into the game though because it was so complex compared to the original, being all 3d and stuff lol, (my bros played the game too though, they liked it a lot. I did too, the game was amazing but hard for little me to comprehend at the time. )And there was a bug which stopped the progress for me and my brothers, telling me to insert the CD when it was in. So some years ago we found a relaunch copy of R2 in a DVD case :) And bought it in a 3 for 2 deal ^_^ It worked great and I played it through immediately. Best game ever, maybe. Too bad R1 nor Gold works on new machines  Oh bah, I'm writing this on my Wii so it's a pain in the butt, I'll have to cut my lifestory here ;)

Was a Sega kid, and always thought the Sega games would win out in the end. Was very sad when it turned out otherwise. :( Still, there WERE a lot of great games the Nintendo line had...but I was stuck on the Sega. When compared to the original NES I had, I was smitten. Till death did us part.

Sega Genesis was my babysitter, best friend, and parent.
All you kids with your Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy and Super Mario world. Pfft. I didn't have the attention span for that. Hold down, press A about six times, and Sonic's halfway through Green Hill Zone.
...I still had to get Gameshark to get anywhere. :(

I'm surprised (and happy) that Sega is doing this well in the poll. I was afraid I'd be the only one to vote for Sega.

Sega...
can go cry in the corner. Nintendo rules, because it's the company's systems I always played as a kid, and I had no idea that sega existed when I was little.
GO NINTENDO!!!

Sega then=fail Sega Now=Mega FailWhile it does stink to know Sega lost out on the platform gaming, they can at least focus on game making in general now...how ARE they doing in that respect? And yeah, Sega held a lot of weight for people back in the day, but the ratio WAS much higher for the SNES in the long run. MY memories are still treasured though.

The milkman is pretty nice. Quite a few have fallen for him.
Suddenly I'm thirsty.

Zim would like some milk from the milk mans wife's tits.../spamDespite the fact this is VERY off topic, I will guess everyone here has seen the David Firth/Doki cartoon then? That's where I heard that wonderful tune.
BACK TO THE NINTENDO OR SEGA TOPIC PLEASE!!!

I heard it before I watched all of David Firth's twisted cartoons, when I was watching Rage on ABC ( music video program that runs late on weekends) and they were playing some Aphex Twin songs, which subsequently are more disturbing than Mr. Firth's cartoons.

Alright, guys. Keep all talk of the milkman and Manbearpig's mom in the right place!
Back to how Sonic's cartoons were better than Mario's in the 90s!

great job making a blatant ass out of yourself....
anyways, this was a great time for console gamers, no handhelds, no HUGE market for pc's, just YOU and your choice of console. I grew up with both however, but looking back on it I had more fond times out of Sega... Earthworm Jim being an all time fave.
