If some sort of God does exist, then why immediately assume that there is also an afterlife. What would the purpose of such a place be, and what would be present there (if that is what you believe in). Do you believe that all life would have a place there: trees, and plants, animals and humans? Is it simply for those beings with 'souls'? Would everyone be able to go there, and why or why not, and what must one do in order to attain entrance to such a place? Also, how would you define the afterlife, by which I mean, what do you believe it to actually be (another dimension, existence ect...)

If you don't believe in say some sort of heaven or hell or something like that, then please feel free to express your beliefs on what does happen when we die.

You rot in the ground.

As an anti-theist, I view the concept of an afterlife as a foolish hope.

I'm pretty much like you, except that somewhere DEEP in my heart I have just this tiny glimmer of hope (and fear) that this is not the last life we live now.

Mind you, it's extremely tiny, and I mostly believe that the afterlife myths and religions in general were born from a human's fear for death.

I have to agree with Wasabi. I believe that the belief in an afterlife and a god is a weakness. Knowing that this life is all I have to do it right, it makes it much more important and valuable to me.

Dang, b. That's harsh, boiiiii.

I don't think people believe in the afterlife to justify their messing up in this one, though. I believe in the afterlife, and that doesn't justify in the slightest all the messing up I've done. And believe me, I've messed up in spades.

Nobody can know for sure, and to say one would would be more foolish than anything.

There is no salvation for any human. Only a horrible deatrh by Cthulhu, the last of the great old ones. He shall turn our cities to ash, he shall rend our hopes our dreams and all things that makes one human away from us. IA IA CTHULHU FTAGN
Whoah, sorry about that minor possession.
