I like the 2nd one. Despite missing many aspects of a "traditional" sig, i.e. everything in Ownage's list, yours is different and unique. Maybe put something more into it though, another figure or text, because it seems a bit empty.

Create backrounds.

You use brushes than make colorful backrounds that go with the sig.

I used jungle and mars landscape as a background and pasted the picture I wanted onto the background in another layer. Then I made it transparrent so you could see the backround.

Lots of people have the idea that grunge and abstract are the only themes of a signature.

Your signatures are something that most people dont do. It's simple and thats why I like it. No multiple brushes, ugly half naked anime chick, etc.

I think your going overboard with the opacity bar ;)

Try looking into some tutorials, as suggested before. Im not a great photoshop guy though so mabey you shouldnt listen to me hehehe.

Ya, I really do overuse it ,but that is the only way I can make them.....
