Lately I have been on a huge British/Foriegn film kick and was wondering if anybody else could help me out with some suggestions. I am huge fan of Guy Ritchie(Snatch, Lock Stock...) and I have recently seen Revolver and Layer Cake and loved em both.

i hear trainspotting is a good movie...

other than that are you looking for movies with british actors/actresses?
or movies set in Great Britain?

either way you can't really go wrong with Sean Connery movies... unless you happen to pick Zardoz...

Swept Away is another Guy Ritchie movie... but it stars madonna... (be ye warned...) and it got horrible reviews by both movie critics and manya IMDB registered user...

Another technically British movie is Pit Fighter (though i'm farly sure its set in Mexico...) by no means a good movie and probably not even worthy of a rent but it does kind of star Stephen Graham (Tommy in Snatch) for about 15 minutes or so... its also directed by a Brit that looks like a Cowboy from some backwater ranch in Texas...

Unleashed (otherwise known as Danny the Dog...) is set in Great Britain and i thought was a rather decent to good movie... stars Jet Li and Morgan Freeman and a bunch of British support (meh...)... a rapper is on the soundtrack but its not the original soundtrack so you don't hear rap during the movie (that i can remember anyway...), however its directed and written by frenchman (louis leterrier of Transporter fame and luc besson respectively)

i might be able to drum up some more but thats all i got on short notice...

If anyone is able to get thier hands on it, almost all of the actors/actresses from Shaun of the Dead were in a tv series called Spaced. its directed by the same guy and its absolutely hilarious so try to find it.

i suppose that hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy is also considered a british film as well...? (my opinion on this movie is that it has decent (at best) one liners and sitcom but the movie didn't really do it justice... all in all it was mediocre)

well it was based on the book so take it out on that.

the original italian job? or the new one...
cuz if you're thinking the recent 'remake' i'm gonna have to cry foul...

and upon further review it has become apparent to me that you do indeed mean the original italian job... i apologize...

Yeah, I meant the original one of course. I hate remakes.
