Hahahah nice answer there N00b...
No I know at one time there was a IRC channel. The new channel will be up by or before the radio's launch. I'll try to get one up before then. :)

I never warmed up to IRC, I am used to the more advanced features and ease of use of MSN messenger. IRC's aesthetics reminds me of the old days of games which are played by typing words and codes.

Ok well I just spoke to Flea....our M-e tech buddy. We should have a IRC Server and such setup shortly :)

Yeah but having trillian I'm not using the IRC plugin so I want to use it to talk to GN people quicker.

Hmmm I personally HATE IRC.....
If we could get some kind of chat room that would be sorta cool. If not then I'll just stick to the forums :P

IRC is very common app that a lot of people use I think it would expand GN and would allow all of us to communicate better.

With all respect to our beloved CEO, getting our own IRC server would be stupid.
I can go and set up #GamerNode on some popular and frequented network like GameSurge or something of the sort. We have a greater chance of people joining if they don't have to connect to ANOTHER server to do so.

The bigger we expand the better, so even if the IRC isn't popular when it opens its another way to tell people we are out there.

I'd love to see our server - Outside servers for a personal channel are annoying, having our own would be very nice. I'm very interested in an IRC Channel / Server.

Hehe, yay. You have to give me IRCop though. I NEED to reach my goal of 100 servers I'm IRCop now (around 70ish now).

Yes, among some other things that would get bigger by getting more power online.

i think the IRC channel MIGHT take away from conversation in the forums.

IRC could be a cool feature, but like alot of people are saying...probably better suited as a future addition
