Anybody here play billiards? If so, how good are you? That's me playing on my pool table in my avatar. I'm not a pool shark but I can hold my own in a game of billiards.

I play strict eight ball pool casually. That's about all. Even then I've only run the table a couple of times and that was back in school when I was playing the most and it's probably not going to ever happen again. haha!

A couple of my friends have pool tables so I play every once in awhile. I am easily the worst of the 7 of us who play regularly, which is really saying something because none of us are very good.

I like playing 8-Ball and 9-Ball almost equally, but I'm not really good at either of them. It's more just an excuse to pass some drunken time and empty a few quarters from my wallet.

At least I'm in good company, none of my friends are very good, either. I'm likely one of the best out of all of us, but that's not saying much at all:|

I'm pretty decent at pool, we only play Blackball which is the British version of 8-ball. I can hold my own, and clean up pretty quickly, positioning the white where I need it, with the right amount of spin and angle each shot.

Unfortunately, my pool table was getting beyond it's days and we had to throw it out. However one of my mates is getting one delivery this Monday, so I'll be chilling at her's a lot more.

I need to work on positioning. I can make lots of shots that most people wouldn't be able to make, but my problem is positioning the cue ball for the next shot. If I can ever master that, then I'll be good to go.

If in my attempt to put a ball in a hole I even think for a second about trying to position the cue ball for the next shot, everything will go awry.

I've come to realize that when it comes to billiards, I'm as good at making shots as most professionals. When it comes to positioning, I'm not even in the same area code.

i play 8-ball casually as well. I'm not good, but i'm not rotten either... as with most everyone here i can make shots, but positioning is really tough... I've never been able to get more than a modicum of English on my cue ball... besides backspin (which is pretty much a 50/50 adventure as to whether i get the perfect amount or not...).
