The movie “Zathura,” which will be coming to theaters on November 11th, will be having some company - the tie-in game to the film. "Zathura," the game, will be shipping to North America. High Voltage Software developed the title and will be published by 2K Games. The “Zathura” movie and game are based upon the best selling children’s books by Chris Van Allsburg, who also wrote “The Polar Express” and “Jumanji." These books were also made into films.

Managing director, Christoph Hartmann of 2K Games said, "The Zathura video game truly brings to life the adventurous plot featured in the highly anticipated movie and best-selling book. Gamers will be immersed in the intergalactic world of Zathura where they can create their very own space adventure.”

Mark Caplan, the executive director of Interactive Sony Pictures Consumer Products said, "We are extremely excited to have 2K Games as our video gaming partner for Zathura. They have done a tremendous job of expanding the film's storyline into a fun game play experience.”

“Zathura”, the video game, will incorporate various elements found in the movie, have 22 levels for exploring the game universe, include 36 alien enemies to battle and will feature the voices of the movie characters.
