Games Can Help has announced that its' holiday toy drive has begun today. Created in response to the recent hurricane devastation in the Gulf Region, Games Can Help aims to unite the video game industry in an effort to help those whose lives have been affected. Games Can Help has partnered with Marine Toys for Tots, and will be collecting new toys on their behalf.
Games Can Help hopes to bring holiday cheer to children in the Gulf Region who have lost their homes, possessions, and families by collecting new Game Boy Advance systems and games, and distributing them to families in the Gulf Region. Games Can Help, working together with publishers, developers, marketing agencies, and media outlets, hopes to collect $100,000 in systems and games for the holiday season.
Interested donors should visit www.gamescanhelp.org for more details. All donations will be approved by the Games Can Help team, and sent directly to Marine Toys for Tots stations throughout Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama. Donations should be in the form of Game Boy Advance or Game Boy Micro systems, and āEā rated games compatible with the Game Boy Advance.
