This is the place to talk about the cricket world cup!

Come on you Aussies! We are going to crush all opposition O_O

And I can't believe that the Bangledash boys beat India! :ohmy: And Ireland drew with Zimbabwe and beat Pakistan! Unbelievable. But then Bob Woolmer (Pakistan coach) collapsed in the team hotel and has died in hospital :(

Man, Ireland beating (and knocking out) Pakistan is like the biggest upset ever. I didn't even know Ireland had a team! And sad news about Bob Woolmer. :(

Good job to the aussies, they beat the Dutch by a close 300 something runs :haha:

OK now there are rumors flying around that the Ireland-Pakistan match was fixed and Bob was about to lift the lid on it. Match-fixing crime syndicates apparently murdered him.

Well then it isn't a world series is it? Also, looks like Sri Lanka are going to do good this year. They beat England by a close 2 runs.

My dad loves the games, but I can't stand it.

Who won in the Bangladesh vs Ireland game? I tried to watch it, but I ended up falling asleep, lol.

I'm not the biggest fan of Australia, but - damn - if they don't play great Cricket.

It's good to see McGrath getting back into it, because he was a bit out of form a few years ago and everyone was saying that he could never come back to his previous skill level. But by Ram, he proved them wrong!

And Australia is definitely going to win the World Cup. Just look at out complete obliteration of the New Zealanders!

Oh, Australia will win without a doubt, but - naturally - being a Pom, I'm more concerned about how England will approach themselves and future matches (particularly One Day's) as a result of their embarrassing exit.

It will be intersting for a lot of teams, as many have played poorly during the World Cup! It's actually been a good Cup if you are a tiny nation, because many of them did quite well.

Are there many other cricket followers in your part of the USA?
