Wow...this game scared the crap out of me like no game has in years (last game to scare me that way was Resident Evil 2 on playstation). Excellent excellent excellent, I cannot wait for the release!!!

Great game... but I have a qualm about the title, First Encounter Assault Recon. Assault Recon is somewhat of an oxymoron, wouldn't you say?

I dont think he gets it..... Assualt = moving forward and attacking. Recon (my favorite) = viewing from a distance to tell the assualt where the hell the rag heads (or in this case) evil little girls are.

Yes......it was out there thats for shure. Anyways i just finished the demo. 600 mb's for that? It was F*ckin creepy as hell! I mean the blood on the ceiling? WTF? God it rocks! I did it at night too which made it very.....spooky lol. I just want to kill people....not things that arent there. My favorite part was where i was going down the ladder. I see a guy walking towards me and i freak out and unload into him.......he vanishes. Woah. Awesome game. One bug they did have though was that the AI was preset into the map almost. Didnt matter what time it was or whatever. Everytime i restarted the guy down the hall would be in the same spot once i passed a certain area. Oh well. All in all this game ROCKS!

Yea, my look on the game is while scary, the shooting and aiming is way lacking and they really need to clean those up. This game is more for the semi-interesting story and scare then the shooting. Hell doom 3 had better shooting then this game.

I stayed up till 4 am then i started playing the game. It looked a bit creepy but nothing more then to raise a couple hairs on the back of my hands. Doom 3 beats it in scare factor. I even turned off the lights (something i never did with doom) and it didn't even make me jump, although i think maybe my eyes blinked real fast like.

My review unless they plan on fixing the shooting detail, the graphics of the bullets, and overall feel of the shooting mechanics, I would have to put this as a rental.

I just can't stand the way its so clunky to move around when other games just flow so nicely. BF2 and CS:S have it down and this game just can't perform.

The graphics and detail of the of the walls people and everything else other then the guns and bullets is very nice. I played on maxed graphics and it looked very pretty, but as you know graphics do not make a game.

and in closing while the story line might be cool to scare you a bit, its a bit tired and a very repetitive one at that. (guy possesed by evil tries to take over the world someway and you by yourself are the only one able to kill him? wtf? Why do I have to kill him)

They could have made this game interesting by introducing squad play. Where you command a squad trying to take this guy out, but no they didn't.

But as you know im just basing this off the demo so it may change a bit until release. But as you also know with most gaming devolopers, a demo is pretty much what you are going to get as a final game, minus a couple bugs.

The game has its problems but i thought the scare factory was great. The music was great. The physics were out of this world! The only thing i didnt like was the guns either shot 3 round burts or fully auto. AND, the ammount of ammo it took to kill anything was a bit strange. Other than that and a few AI bugs the game rocked.

Maybe Assault Recon is the equivalent of Recon by Fire. Shoot at lots of stuff and if something runs away it must be the enemy! Makes sense to me, even more so when you are dealing in the paranormal.
