Why are postcounts no longer displayed?

Now before you all jump to conclusions and call me a whinger, I don't care that the postcounts aren't showing in the forums. I just want to know why this course of action was taken.

However, I'm not sure why it was removed. I haven't heard anything about it yet. But as you can see there are still ranks. So it somewhat resembles post countage. Nothing was really lost. heh

Postcounts are highly overrated, to be honest.
Agreed. In fact I think I'm going to remove them from the view post page.
I eagerly await Jambo's explosive retort and resulting hissy fit-induced self-exile from the forums.

Oh well, I new it was coming because of the explosive spamming from almost everyone in the worlds longest thread.

There are a handful of people to which post counts became a little more important than they should be, which led to an increase in pointless posts.

Post counts still exist and can be found in each members profile, but they are no longer shown in the thread view pages, for the above reasons.
